On the Roman Road: A Journey with the Poet Ausonius

Abstract: Written against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic and the accompanying travel restrictions, Omrani’s article takes Ausonius’ Mosella, composed in the late fourth century AD, as a literary work which shows that the classical tradition of writings focusing on journeying as an important, even revelatory personal experience, continued into late antiquity.
