Confessions of Murder in the Odyssey
Presented by Eunice Kim
As part of the Kosmos Society’s Online Open House series, guest Eunice Kim analyses confessions of murder in Homer’s Odyssey. She guides the audience through a close reading of selected passages from the Odyssey and the Iliad, breaking down the use of language and drawing comparisons between confessions across the poem to tie murder and exile to broader themes in the text.
Recorded open house discussion, hosted by the Kosmos Society, Harvard University’s Center for Hellenic Studies, January 31, 2020.
